Fairy Lights

Light Trail

Sunday 31st October 2021

Following the great success of last years ‘Light Trail’ we are going to host another this year. Our plan is to flood the streets of Milton with light, representing Jesus being the ‘light of the world’.

We would like to invite you all to join in this fun by decorating one or more of your front windows in a light, bright, cheerful way. You could use lamps, candles, fairy lights, colourful paper/fabric/decorations, etc. Please ensure there are no decorations associated with Halloween, so it is clear you are not welcoming Trick or Treaters. Your decorations can be as simple or as extravagant as you choose. As we will create a Light Trail map it doesn’t matter whether you live on a busy or quiet road, people will still be able to find you and enjoy your decorated window.

If you join in the fun, no one will be knocking on your door, as at the end of the trail people are invited to go to collect some sweet goodies from the churchyard between 6.30pm – 7.30pm. For those who will be going on the trail we invite you to dress in bright, cheerful, fun clothes (not Halloween associated outfits).

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Planning to join in the fun? Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so I can start to plot a trail map.

Remembrance Sunday Poppies

Written by Webmaster on .

poppy

This year for Remembrance Sunday we are decorating the tower at All Saints Milton again with even more poppies!

Can you help to make the decoration even bigger and better this year? We would love for you to knit, sew or crochet as many poppies as you are able and deliver them to 28 The Rowans. Please send them in as soon as any are completed (don’t wait until you’ve finished them all) so that we can start to assemble the final decoration. They can also be delivered to the church on Monday, Wednesday or Friday mornings (except half term).

We also need help sewing the poppies onto the net - if you are able to help, please come to Stitchers group in the church hall on:

Monday 11th October 2-4pm

Friday 22nd October 2-4pm

Monday 8th November 2-4pm

A Message from Jimmy's

Written by Webmaster on .

We will be collecting items or monetary donations for the work of Jimmy's in Cambridge again this Harvest Festival (3rd October)

A Message from Jimmy's

It is that time of year once again when Harvest is upon us. Last year was very different for Jimmy’s sadly we were not able to visit schools and churches as normal, however we were so incredibly grateful for all of the donations we did receive, despite such difficult circumstances.

As per last year we would like to ask for donations for not only our Assessment Centre, but also our wider support to our houses, modular homes, and those in floating support, we therefore we have a wish list of both food items and everyday necessities we are always in need of:

harvest2021
Your donation helps us to:
• Feed over 100 people that stay with Jimmy’s throughout each year.
• Helps offer a breakfast and well-balanced, nutritious evening meal. A healthy diet is vital to well-being, and by supporting our residents in this way, we are providing them with a better chance of developing a healthier lifestyle to cope with the many issues they are faced with.
• Our residents prepare lunch, harvest enables us to use our stores to help people prepare lunch for the day, again this is important for eating wellbeing, learning, or refreshing skills that are so necessary to live more independently.
• Provides support to Jimmy’s Assessment Centre, Jimmy’s Houses & Modular Homes by providing simple necessities such as toiletries, cleaning products etc.

For all harvest enquiries contact Jimmy’s on 01223 576085 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Thank you for all your kindness, help and support.

Find your way around!
