We are organising a Light Trail this year on 31st October.
If you would like to join in there will be a trail map here nearer the time showing locations of decorated windows to see. The trail will end at an illuminated grotto in the churchyard where sweets will be available (individually wrapped and distributed). There will be an extra something for those dressed in a light, bright, colourful and cheerful way. ?
If you would like to decorate your own window in a light, bright, cheerful way, you could use lamps, candles, fairy lights, colourful paper/fabric/decorations, etc. There is are also some pictures to download here that you may like to print and colour. Please ensure there are no decorations associated with Halloween (pumpkins, bats, spiders etc.) if you don’t want trick or treaters to knock on your door.
Sunday 1st November 2020 2pm and 3.30pm, with two services to ensure all who wish to attend can.
A special service to remember and give thanks for loved ones who have died.
It’s clear that it will be some months before we can have a regular presence in the church office, and it’s important that people can contact us easily by phone, partcularly with bookings for services, but also for any other reason. In view of this, we have subscribed to a virtual number and call routng service for the church. This will route calls to members of the staff team, who will be available to answer calls between 9am and 5pm weekdays.Outside these hours it will be possible to leave a voicemail message, but if the matter is very urgent, as always please call the Rector on 07805 083300.
The new number is 01223 667368. This will be the main contact number for the church from now on, and will replace both the office number and the mobile number we have been using for service bookings.
This Tuesday is the day many local children start their school adventure. This can be an exciting, and sometimes emotional time, for the children and their parents.
We would therefore like to invite parents of children starting reception to meet in the churchyard after dropping their children off at school, 9.30am - 10.30am or 1.45pm - 2.45pm. Come along and meet others for a drink and chat, whether you are celebrating or tearful, we would love to see you.
We have some log seats but do feel free to bring a picnic blanket or garden chair for more comfort. Please feel free to bring a drink and snack too.
We are delighted to announce that Baby Group is starting again, The group will meet outside, in a social distanced way in the churchyard. Thursdays, 2pm - 4pm (call in any time between these times.)
Due to current guidelines we can't provide drinks and snacks and baby toys as we usually would so please do bring along your own, and a picnic blanket/baby mat.
All newborns - walkers welcome with their carers. No need to book, just come along
The 8am Holy Communion and 10:30am Sunday services will be livestreamed for those who cannot or don't wish to join us in the church building. Recordings of the Sunday services will also be available after broadcast on the AllSaints Milton Youtube channel. or via the podcast .
Link to live stream via Youtube - https://allsaintsmilton.org.uk/youtubelive Because YouTube restrict embedding of livestreams until you have a 1000 subscribers it may say that embedding is not allowed, and offer the option to watch on Youtube instead, so click through that and the stream should open.
Alternatively it should appear on the AllSaints Milton Youtube channel. Click All Videos, or Past Livestreams as it may not appear on the front page. Subscribe to the channel and you can also opt to receive email notifications when livestreams start or other content is added.
Viewable on PC or phone or smartTV, No login, app or download is required. If you get an error message it may be because the livestream has not started yet, please try closer to the start time.
Note that Youtube operates a live scan for matching copyrighted material and may blank out or mute sections of the stream if it detects copyrighted material, even if we have permission to use it, this is outside our control.
As before, the audio recordings of the last 100 services are available as a podcast - details here, or services going back even further from here.
Many of us normally attend the New Wine festival at this time of year, but as with many things this year it's moved online. Like normal New Wine but less rainy......
This will be a great opportunity to join with thousands of others in worship, receiving teaching, attend seminars and sofa sessions, with something for everyone, whatever you age and interest. Find out more here, or click on this link to see the full programme (pdf).
It is all FREE and the majority of it needs no sign up, you can watch it from the comfort of your own home or where ever you are on holiday (if you have some internet connection).
Plans are also afoot to add an All Saints Milton community feel – watch this space for more news coming soon.
Please do put the dates in your diary, 30th July – 2nd August.
At All Saints we are offering opportunities to ‘meet’ together in different ways to think about what we have experienced and learnt as well as having some social time together.
Online morning services at 11am.
On Friday, Saturday and Monday you can choose from two services. One called Impact and one Arena, each follow a series of teaching.
On Sunday morning there is one service for everyone.
After these services we hope to host a zoom chat where those who want to can meet together and discuss the service and end in prayer. We envisage these to be about 20minutes long, starting at 12.30pm.
From 1pm on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday we invite everyone to come down to the churchyard with a packed lunch or drink and have some time with others in the church family. We will have a few gazebo’s up offering shade/shelter. For those of you who can, please do bring down your own deckchairs/picnic blankets, there will be some chairs who are not able to bring any with them.
We will be following all guidelines regarding meeting together on church property, so everyone will be asked to use hand sanitiser (provided) as they enter and leave the churchyard and for people to sit 2 metres apart, unless they are from the same household.
Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, after the evening services (about 9.30pm) we invite those who would like to, to come down to the churchyard, again with chairs/blankets to enjoy a drink and chat about the day. We are sure everyone will do so but politely ask that you consider the neighbours of the church as you leave to go home ?
Prayer Ministry with Richard and Margaret Kimber is being offered over the weekend. This will be over the telephone and by appointment only.
Online after hours fun !
For those who want to join in some fun from the comfort of their own home they can join a ‘Gospel Night’ on Friday and a ‘Quiz’ on Sunday Night.
Both of these online events start at 9.15pm and there are links on the programme (link at the top of this page)
n line with the latest guidance from the Church of England and following risk assessment, All Saints looks forward to welcoming you back into the Church building for some services. Services will start with the 8am Sunday Holy Communion services on Sunday 2nd August, with a 3pm Afternoon Service to align with the outdoor childrens activities.
There will also be a midweek service at 2pm on Wednesdays.
Because of physical distancing recommendations the number of seats is limited, so to manage this and avoid disappointment if you arrive and we're already full, we are reserving seats, booked online (free, via Eventbrite). Click here to reserve your places (any service). Each booking is for a pair of seats. If you are coming on your own you will need to reserve a single pair of seats and if two people from the same household are coming together then they reserve 1 pair of seats between them. If you have issues with online booking you can call 01223 667368 to reserve.
Note that we are intending to livestream the Sunday services so please join us that way if you prefer. Further information will be posted here.
As sung worship is still not permitted, the 10-30am Sunday services remain online only for the moment but we are looking into other styles of service that would work with the current restrictions.
More details below -
Friday prayer in church is restarting from Friday 24th July. All welcome to spend some time in prayer. We will use the socially distanced main body of the church, and the entry and exit will be via the south door (the big wooden door opposite the Rectory).
