A time of prayer for healing

A time of prayer for healing

Presently life isn't easy and lots of us are struggling in different ways.

Do you have any particular needs?

Are there church members, friends or relations for whom you'd like special prayer?

It would be good if we could set aside some time to pray as a church family for those we know and love who are finding life tough due to health problems and other challenges.

I shall be in church on Monday 26 October 2020 at 7.30 pm for a time of prayer when the focus will be on healing

If you can join me for a while that would be great.  If not please try to set some time aside at home to pray.

Please let me know if there is anything particular that you would like me to pray for.

Below is a prayer which we can all use on the night as we turn to God and once more bring our needs to him.

God of healing,

God of wholeness,

we bring our brokenness, our sinfulness, our fears and despair and lay them at your feet.

God of healing,

God of wholeness,

we reach out hearts and hands, minds and souls to feel your touch and know the peace that only you can bring.

God of healing,

God of wholeness,

in your presence and power grant us faith and confidence that here broken lives are made whole.

Amen

with love,

Jackie

Harvest Services

harvest2

Harvest services will take place on Sunday 27th September, and Wednesday 30th. There will also be a Harvest Trail round Milton on Saturday 26th - download the pdf here.

Answers to the Harvest hunt were:

  • The property with two pineapples in a strange place is the Brewers.
  • The property with a real fig tree is 17 Fen Road.
  • The unusual pots were: 2 drums, 2 footballs and a toilet!
  • The missing vegetables were cauliflowers, cabbages, beetroots and broadbeans.

Foodbank collections resumed in September. A collection point will be in the church porch 8am—4pm on Sundays and during the services on Wednesdays. As an alternative to food donations Cambridge food bank would like to invite people to donate to their fuel-help scheme, through which they provide gas and electric top-ups to those in need. Please visit their fundraising page where a financial donation can be made https://virginmoneygiving.com/fund/CambridgeWarmHomes

Light Trail

We are organising a Light Trail this year on 31st October.

If you would like to join in there will be a trail map here nearer the time showing locations of decorated windows to see. The trail will end at an illuminated grotto in the churchyard where sweets will be available (individually wrapped and distributed). There will be an extra something for those dressed in a light, bright, colourful and cheerful way. ?

If you would like to decorate your own window in a light, bright, cheerful way, you could use lamps, candles, fairy lights, colourful paper/fabric/decorations, etc. There is are also some pictures to download here that you may like to print and colour. Please ensure there are no decorations associated with Halloween (pumpkins, bats, spiders etc.) if you don’t want trick or treaters to knock on your door.
